Working from home has many perks, but sometimes those perks, can be hindering. When I worked at my corporate job, I would pick out my outfit the night before in order to not waste time in the mornings getting ready. But now that I work from home, I’ll admit there have been days where sweatpants & leggings were as far as I got. Those weren’t the most productive days, haha. What I quickly learned was how important getting dressed first thing in the morning was, even if my entire day was spent at home. Since I’m self employed, I don’t have a dress code to follow, but I noticed I was wearing almost the same thing everyday.
No matter what time of the year it is, I’ll naturally want to wear a comfortable pair of pants. Whether its jeans or trousers, something other than athleisure is best for me. For the top layer, 9/10 its one of my favorite tees. I prefer something comfortable and casual. Of course I love keeping my color palette on the neutral side, so black, grey, white, camel, and denim are what I wear during the week. Although, recently I’ve been keeping it very simple and just wearing a black top & black pants. It’s effortless and incredibly chic. I’ll mix up the accessories; belt, shoes and bags depending on what the day calls for, but I’ve been alternating between my Chanel ballerinas andAmazon mesh flats the most. What’s great about sticking to an outfit formula like this is, I’m able to go straight from home, to meetings, to dinner and always look stylish.
